Great idea from Working with Emergence’s excellent post: If you must do a conflict tree, at least use the banyan as your image.

The aerial roots coming down to "join" the original roots perfectly illustrates the self perpetuating cycle where the effects of a conflict in turn feed back to, and reinforce, the original root cause of the conflict.
