Dont show me what I cant have

“Oooo Amazon Prime has all the Trek movies.” WIN!

“This video is currently unavailable to watch in your location.” FAIL!

Their system clearly knows my location. And it also knows that all the (older) Trek movies are not available for consumption from my location. So why would they show me what I cannot access?

The obvious solution would be to hide from me what I cannot access. I would have thought this is basic expectations management. Netflix and Stan do this. Why would any business set out to create disappointment?

Are you deliberately creating disappointment for your customers?
