For as long as I could remember, this has always happened to every single bottle of cream cleanser I’ve ever purchased and used; regardless of the brand. The hinge breaks, the small hole clogs up, and product accretes around the hole in an unsightly manner. All these happening before the product is even half-used.

Product design flaws like these seem never to be fixed. Millions/billions of these bottles are probably manufactured worldwide annually.

In as much as this bottle design is iconically associated with cream cleaners, the poor user experience (UX) of the defective design is also an iconic sub-par experience with using this product.

This practice of continuing to manufacture defective designs is not limited to low-cost cleaners. High-end luxury goods suffer form this too. Apple is currently facing a class action suit over its continual use of keyboards with allegedly defective designs since 2016.
