Penny-Sparke-quote

"The word 'design', unlike 'art', has a double meaning. Both a verb and a noun, it is not just a feature of our surroundings, it is also the creative process that makes them possible." -- Penny Sparke, English historian and designer.

I remember going through design history classes in both Architecture and Design schools discussing and reflecting on what 'design' is. And how it is or isn't related to 'art.' This quote highlighted just how confusing the concept can be (and also full of possibilities.)

I guess the point is to do it. And keep doing it. And occasionally think about it.
