I have always liked the notion that in amongst all the massive volumes data and facts we have gathered about absolutely everything, there lies a basic simple set of core framework principles or core truths.
For example: all humans cross all cultures like all combination of fats, carbohydrates and salt (and/or sugar).
Another example: all humans are attracted to the idea of a bargain. From buying a t-shirt cheap, to cheating death and damnation with a simple cash donation.
And yet another example: all humans by default operate on a set of stereotypes. We use these stereotypes to make rapid judgements about our environment and the people in it. By default, we work on the concept of “them” vs “us.
There is a book idea here – to identify the x core simple principles of default human behaviours. A set of distilled commonalities across all humanity.
