True story from a friend who works at a multinational corporation: This company runs a custom software application that handles loads of global financial transactions daily. Because of legacy and hybrid systems, there are data conversion errors that must be corrected manually, everyday.

No one know where the errors come from, and there is no interest in or will to fixing the problem.

There is actually a dedicated team of people whose job it is to go through the daily transactions and fix the errors one by one.

Am I the only who thinks this does not make any sense?
