The problem is not not knowing how to be more innovative, but rather in not knowing how to, or finding it impossible to, create the situational factors to enable innovation. From Idea Champions.

There are loads and loads of books and articles and blog entries on how to be more innovative. I have contributed to this pool as well.

So why are more businesses and individuals doing more innovative stuff? Could it be the missing ingredients that come under “situational factors”?

We have loads of books written about the subject now. Is the next opportunity the creation of mental and physical situations to enable innovation?

I am thinking innovation centres with facilities and skills for hire, innovation coaches working within businesses (much like corporate counsellors), intensive outcome-focused and highly tailored innovation workshops…
