Value generation in this context demands a more human touch, where individual qualities are more important than ever before. It is not about the free stuff, but the attention you can give the customer with the free stuff.

In other words, less about stuff, more about attention! Social media is set up to transmit attention, to highlight generosity as never before. And to do so to a global audience.
