Heineken’s innovation – no change!

Beer producer Heineken currently has bus stop advertising in Singapore with the line “Our greatest innovation: the same beer.”

Clever.

Innovation is not about change for the sake of change. Remember New Coke? Sometimes, a good thing should be left alone.

This could be a mistake a business may make in the rush towards innovation as an easy panacea. Just like mistake some businesses make to seek growth for the pure sake of growth.
