There are two types of business leaders: Those who find themselves in a position of leadership because of genuine aptitude, and those who get there via political manipulations, stepping on others, and bullying.
The former would be surrounded by real loyalty, achieving consistent outcomes, and probably in a quiet happy manner. The latter would live in fear, attract around them people like themselves, waste more than they create, and attract lots of attention.

There is one caveat to this – leaders need to have an aptitute for leadership, managment and organization. Not an aptitude for accounting, or glad-handing, or any of the other million skill sets around. When companies begin actually valueing leadership as another skill set instead of a badge to pin on a worker’s shirt, everyone on the planet will be delighted.
